      Hi Nicholas,
Even my Asus Eeebook 205TA has the same problem. It doesn’t even shows the wifi settings. So far, whenever i face this issue, i do restart the Eeebook. Restarting fixes this error in my case. Most of the time, there was a system updates. So you can also try restarting your Eeebook.

      Hi Terre,

Have you tried formatting the microSD card. Sometimes, it helps. Also check with other microSD card. Mine is working.

        Hi Aniruddh-

My sd card works in my Asus Memo but not in the X205T. The card does not even show up as external media when I check. I used a usb thumbdrive yesterday and that worked fine. Is there a driver I have to download so the X205T reads the sd card? I am running Windows 8. Thanks!

      Hi Emanuel,

Please ensure that, minimum 5GB free space in your Eeebook internal storage. Then start the upgrade process. While performing upgrade process, it asked for 8GB of free storage which I have selected a hard disk via USB. The external USB works just as swap storage. Whole process took almost 2 hours in my Eeebook.

    Hi Aniruddh-

My original SD card was a SanDisk 16 gb. I recently purchased a Kingston 32 gb. When I first put it into the reader, the new card didn’t work. I took it out and inserted it back into the reader and the computer now recognizes the SD card. Thank you!

I have another question: do you ever get a message with a yellow triangle/exclamation point that says “your computer is running low on memory. To prevent data loss, close the following programs….”. Is it stating that I have too many programs open and that’s why the memory is low? I like to multitask….. LOL Thanks!

I can see the green power light turn on but the screen stays black. I don’t even see the Asus boot screen and can’t even boot to the bios when rapidly pressing f2 upon booting. Only way I can tell it is on is by the green light. Please help

Recently I got an update from Window10. During a restart it took a long time and I decide to puss the power button for 10 sec. The screen became black and the power is still on and does not respond to anything. Can not turn the power off by holding the power button. I let the battery drain and hope I can continue.
Maybe I should get prepared to disassemble the notebook and unplug and replug the battery.
Please provide some help if you can.

I recently bought Asus E200HA mini laptop with win10 pre installed.. I have purchased a 64 GB SD card as well. I’m trying to install softwares into the SD card. I have changed the settings in the storage column to “save to SD card”. Whereas after installation, the external drive has vanished from the “MY PC/COMPUTER”.. the PC is not detecting the drive. Following which I re-checked the storage settings and the “save to SD card” is not appearing.
I have restarted many times but in vain…. :(
    Please help ….

I just bought an Asus X205TA of ebay that someone was having an issue with. It looks like people are not able to boot Windows 10 from a USB. Here’s what I did to fix this problem.
    1. I used a 8gb sandisk cruzer edge USB to download Bios 212 from the Asus website here
    https://www.asus.com/us/Notebooks/ASUS_EeeBook_X205TA/HelpDesk_Download/
    2. I updated the bios by putting the file on the USB unzipped and entering the bios pressing F2. Under advanced I selected Start Easy Flash and updated the Bios from USB.
    3. After the bios was updated I downloaded the Microsoft media creation tool and created a Windows 10 32bit USB. Make sure to select 32 bit once the tool is downloaded I couldn’t get 64bit to work
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/
    4. Plug the USB into your Asus X205T and restart some people have trouble powering these off all you need to do is hold the button for a long time and it will eventually shut down sometimes you need to unplug everything including the charger. Press F2 on restart and change these settings in the Bios
    – under Advanced set USB Controller to EHCI
    – under Advanced set Network Stack Configuration
    -Network Stack Enabled
    -Ipv4 Support Disabled
    -Ipv6 support Disabled
    -PXE boot wait time 3
    -Media detect count 3
    – under boot select the USB drive for Boot Option #1
    – you may need to restart the bios to get the USB to show in the boot option
    5. Save changes and exit the bios then tap F10 while It reboots not sure if tapping F10 does anything but that’s what I did and Windows 10 32bit USB booted to Install. I was able to clear the drive partitions and Install a Clean Win 10 32bit.
During the Install the keyboard and track pad did not work I had to use USB plug in mouse and keyboard. After Installing the Chipset driver from the Asus website all keyboard and mouse functions came back.
I restored Default Bios settings after the install and everything is working properly I hope this helps.
