    Galaxy A50 Review

    Galaxy A50 Pros

    Galaxy A50 Camera

One of the key strength of the Galaxy A50 is its camera. It has a triple camera setup of 25MP primary wide angles lense with F/1.7, 8MP ultra wide camera and 5MP depth sensor.

Though Samsung has not mentioned anything on the video stabilisation, both front and rear camera recorded video footages look smooth. Looks like it has EIS.

Rear 25MP primary camera performance in all light condition look good considering the price segment. Ultra wide angle camera performance in low light is not great. 25MP front facing selfie camera does good job in all light condition.

    Galaxy A50 Performance

It is powered by a Octa-core Samsung Exynos 9610 SoC. This chip has four ARM Cortex-A73 and four Cortex A-53 CPU cores running at up to 2.3GHz and 1.6GHz respectively. It also has modern ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.

    Galaxy A50 Cons

Slow in-display fingerprint scanner: The in-display fingerprint scanner is not the one we have seen in the flagship Galaxy S10. Though it is good to have latest technology, it is slower compared to regular finger scanner. Also accuracy also not great.

Average 8MP ultra wide angle camera performance: 8MP ultra wide lens has fixed focus. The low light performance is average.

No 4K video recording: Both front and rear camera video recording is capped at 1080×2340-pixel.

    No NFC.

    RealMe 3 pros and cons

    RealMe 3 Pros

Let us begin with the features which are impressive or merits of RealMe 3 according to us.

    RealMe 3 Design

RealMe 3 has a unibody design with gradient color. The back is curved in the sides which makes it comfortable to hold. The material used on the back is not a glass but injection moulded plastic. In Spite of that, design looks good considering the price.

    RealMe 3 Display

RealMe 3 sports 6.2 inch HD+(720×1520 pixels) display panel with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The large screen with narrow bezels and droplet like notch are advantages. Color reproduction and viewing angles are decent but not great. Images and text don’t look their sharperst.

    RealMe 3 Performance

Our review device had MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is one more variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Performance Wise RealMe 3 is impressive. It manages multi tasking with ease. Even gaming performance is good except few slight intermittent stutter. PUBG can be playable in medium settings.

    RealMe 3 Camera

The RealMe 3 sports 13MP+2MP rear camera setup. Compared to RealMe2, the primary sensor is improved and now it has f/1.8 aperture. In the front, there is a 13MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

Photos taken in good lighting condition came out good. The images were sharp and had decent details with excellent contrast, and accurate colors. However, dynamic range was average. In low light conditions, taken images are acceptable for a budget phone. Portrait mode works well. The front facing camera does decent job in good lighting condition.

Overall camera performance is good considering other phones camera performance in the price segment.

    RealMe 3 Battery

The RealMe 3 packs a large 4,230 mAh battery. There is no fast charging support. However, it charges like any other phone in the budget segment. In our usage, it easily lasted more than one full day.
