    Cons of Micromax Canvas XL2

    • Limited Internal storage:  Having internal storage of 4GB limits installing high eng games as well as installing multiple apps.
    • No 720p screen:  Having 5.5 inch screen without even 720p resolution, screen looks little pixelated. Much cheaper devices such as Redme 1s, does comes with a 720p screen.
    • Android 5.0 update: There is no word on the update to latest android version.

    Year 2014 seen the game changer smartphones from Chinese mobile manufacturers.     • Build Quality: The glossy back panel attracts lot of scratches. In a day to day use, we have seen that, it very prone to scratches. Also the device feels slipper while holding.
    • Average Graphics Performance:  As mentioned earlier, the GPU in the device is of mid range.
    • Average Battery life: Though it has 3000 mAh battery, it performance very similar to the other smartphones 2600 mAh battery.
    • Average Viewing angle: As it doesn’t  feature IPS display screen, the viewing angles and sun light legibility are not upto the mark.
    • Sound Crackles at volume : In spite of having Dolby DTS technology, at higher volumes sound crackles. Even earpiece volume is low in phone calls.

    To use Micromax Canvas A1 as WiFi hotspot, you need to have a active data plan. Then enable the mobile data on your Canvas A1. Now to use Micromax Canvas as WiFi Hotspot, follow the steps given below.

    • Go to Settings > More… > Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    • Tap on to Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot to enable.
    • Once enabled, you will find a icon, in left top notification area.
    • Tapping once again will disable the WiFi hotspot.

    • Tab on to Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot.
    • Enter the SSID, Security type and Password and tap Save.
