Now we are seeing lot of new smartphone launches on everyday. Each phone comes with various price and specifications. You might be thinking which one to choose. What key factors you should consider before buying and Android smartphone. Here is the quick tips which I follow to purchase or recommend a smartphone.
How to choose a Best Android Smartphone
Here is the few key factors before purchasing any Android Smartphone.
Android Versions and Future Updates: For me, this is the deciding factor. Having smartphone with outdated operating system is not great. You will not be able to install some of the apps and also you will not be getting the new futures. Some new mobile manufacturers, do not even provide a bug fix update too. So do a quick research on, whether the device you want to purchase has the latest available Android OS and also the future Android update path of the company.
Internal storage: Many people ignore the internal storage capacity of the device. When the device supports microSD card, why we need larger internal storage? Only few apps can be moved to microSD card. All other apps, you need to install it on the internal storage unless you root the device. Another, drawback of having less internal storage is, as soon as the memory available decreases, phone performance decreases. So buy a smartphone with internal storage of atleast 8GB.
Display: Display plays a major role. The main thing you need to look on display of a Android smartphone is viewing angles and pixel density. Big display screen with low screen resolution will make the videos and text look pixalated.
Battery: Some manufacturers, show big numbered batteries. However battery life of such devices are less. There many factors which effects the battery life. The size of the screen, screen resolution, CPU power etc. So, have a research on battery life of the device before you purchase the device.
CPU and RAM: Never go by the clock speed or how many core it has. Check the chipset of CPU. Low quality chispet with higher clock speed and multi core CPU performance will be much less than the good quality chipset single core CPU. The RAM size, considering today’s apps requirement, one should have atleast 1GB of RAM.
Camera: For some, this is not a deciding factor. Never go by the how many mega pixel camera the device has. The quality of the image and videos depends on the lens quality and sensor quality. The custom technology too plays a role in good camera performance.
Summary: These are the few guideline factors you need to consider before purchasing the device. It is always good idea to read few reviews, user feedbacks, comparing the competitors will be the key to buy a best Android smartphone.
