How to hard reset Samsung Galaxy A51- Factory Reset

Hard reset or Factory reset will erase all the user-installed apps and files from the phone. It is useful if you are selling your phone to someone, or just to fix some of the bugs. So in this post, we will explore two different ways to Hard reset Samsung Galaxy A51.

There are two different ways to hard reset or factory reset Galaxy A51. The first one is using user interface and the second one is using the recovery mode.

Before performing a hard reset or factory reset, it is always recommended to take backup. Otherwise, you may lose your important data.

Method 1: Hard Reset using the user interface

  • Go to Settings->General management.
  • Tap on Reset.
  • You have multiple options. You can reset only Settings, network settings or reset accessibility settings.
  • If you want to do a factory reset, tap on Factory data reset.
  • Confirm by tapping Reset.
  • If you logged in to google account or Samsung Account, then you need to enter the login credential to complete the factory reset.

Method 2: Hard reset Galaxy A51 using the recovery mode

  • Switch off Galaxy A51.
  • Now press and hold Power and Volume up keys till you see Samsung logo.
  • Now release the keys.
  • You will enter into recovery mode.
  • Using Volume keys, select Wipe Data/Factory reset.
  • Then you need to confirm the operation by choosing the Factory data reset and press the power button.
  • Now select Reboot system now and press power key. 
  • The factory reset is complete.
