How to take screenshot on Samsung Galaxy A51

Samsung Galaxy A51 runs on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0. The way to take a screenshot is slightly changed compared last years Galaxy phones. So in this post, we will explore how to take screenshot on Samsung Galaxy A51.

Galaxy A51 power key is renamed as Side key. Long press on side key will launch Bixby out of the box. To accommodate, this functionality, Samsung has tweaked the hardware method of taking the screenshot.

Hardware Key method to take screenshot on Galaxy A51

• Navigate to the page on which you want to take a screenshot.
• Now quickly press and release Power and Volume down keys simultaneously.
• It will save the screenshot.

Palm Swipe Gesture to take screenshot

• Go to the page you want to take screenshot.
• Swipe your palm from one side to other ensuring edge of the palm touching the screen.
• It will take the screenshot.

Note: To enable palm swipe gesture to take screenshot,

• Go to Settings->Advanced Features->Motions and gestures.
• Now enable Palm swipe to capture option.

Assistive Touch way to take screenshot

• Go to Settings->Accessibility->Interaction and dexterity. Enable Assistant Menu.
• Small floating icon will show up in the screen.
• Now go the screen on which you want to take screenshot.
• Tap on Assistant Menu icon.
• Select the Screenshot button.
• It will save screenshot.

Long screenshot or scroll screenshot on Galaxy A51

• ‘Take screenshot using any of the above three methods.
• You will get a menu in the bottom of the screenshot preview.
• Tap the down arrow icon. It will start the scrolling screenshot.

Note: If you are not getting the scroll screenshot menu toolbar, then go to Go to Settings->Advanced Features. Here select Screenshots and Enable Screenshot toolbar.

How to access taken screenshots?

To access taken screenshots, go to Gallery. Here albums and then go to Screenshot folder. You will find all the taken screenshots.
