    Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. Like all other recent smartphones, this time too Samsung not revealed the model of the chipset. The device comes with 8 GB of internal storage and supports microSD card upto 64 GB.

    • Performance:  Galaxy Grand Prime does performs great on day to day usage. The games like Asphalt 8 plays without any much lag or frame drop. Graphic intensive games like modern combat does shows some frame drops
    • Price: Price of the Galaxy Grand Prime is competitive and good value for money.
    • Good Camera: The front facing as well as secondary camera does takes good photos and records quality videos.

    Cons of Galaxy Grand Prime

    • No 720p HD Screen resolution: 5 inch screen without even 720p resolution, is downside. Considering many budget smartphones features 720p screen which are priced very much lower than this.
    • No NFC and OTG support: It is not a deal breaker considering , it supports microSD card.
    • Average battery life: In normal usage, it lasts one day. However, on heavy usage, need to charge twice.

    Samsung has launched a new smartphone in the name of Galaxy Alpha. The key highlight of this new Galaxy device is its premium build quality with metal frames. Though Galaxy Alpha still has a plastic back but it feels smoother and nicer than that of Galaxy S5. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha price in India is Rs.39,990. We will the specification part before moving on to the pros and cons of Galaxy Alpha.

    Samsung Galaxy Alpha is powered by Octa Core Chipset based on Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset with 2GB of RAM and Mali -T628 MP6 GPU. The internal storage capacity is 32GB and unfortunately there is no provision to add microSD card.  Galaxy Alpha sports 4.7 inch AMOLED 720p display screen with 312ppi pixel density.  The device has 12MP primary camera and 2.1MP front facing camera. The primary camera is capable of recording UHD 4K resolution at 30fps.

    The connectivity features of Galaxy Alpha includes WiFi, Bluetooth, 2G, 3G and USB. The device houses 1860 mAh user removable battery. It runs on latest Android Kitkat 4.4.4 OS with Touchwiz UI.

    Pros of Galaxy Alpha

    • Premium build feel: The metal frame makes Galaxy Alpha most luxurious Galaxy smartphone. It is a good thing considering a premium look differentiates from the crowd.
    • Good Performance: The Octa core processor with 2GB of RAM provides a good performance. The most of the high end games were able to play without much lag.
    • Good Camera: Like any other Galaxy Smartphones, this too takes good photos and records 4K videos.

    Cons of Galaxy Alpha

    • Average Display: Considering the premium price, the display is not great. The 720p resolution and quality of the display is not at par compared to similar priced smartphones.
    • No expandable storage: There n provision to add extra memory through microSD card. So you have stick to the internal storage.
    • Average Battery Life: The battery performance is average.
    • Over Priced: Looking the specification, pricing of the device just for the metal frame design is not justifiable.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Multi Window Tips

    We have seen multi window sidebar features in Galaxy Note 2,Galaxy S3, Galaxy Grand etc.  But with Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has introduced much improved and more feature rich Multi Window Feature.  In 5.7 inch full HD display, the Multi Window feature works flawlessly.  The previous models, one needed to change the screen constantly to suite the particular function we were using. But in the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 3, you can do two different tasks simultaneously such as looking up webpages while sending text in a single screen side by side.

    How to Use Multi Window Feature in Samsung Galaxy Note 3

    Activating muti window feature in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is very easy.  Here is the quick steps which will useful for activating and using the multi window feature.

    Step 1:  In the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen. This opens a quick settings bar.

    Step 2: Swipe to right till you get the Multi window icon. Tap on it to enable the Multi Window.

    Step 3: The left side middle of the screen you will find a arrow mark.

    Step 4: Drag the application in the Multi window sidebar to the main window.

    Step 5: Drag the another application which you want to work along with the first opened app.

    Step 6:  You can adjust the size of the windows by moving the split bar handle.

    Step 7: Thats it. Start working on the both the applications at time.

    Follow the same steps 1 & 2 given above. As you know, when you first tap it, it will enable and if you tap it twice it will get disabled.

    Creating Paired windows

    As  mentioned earlier, muti window feature of Samsung Galaxy Note 3, you work with two apps at time. If you are using two apps always together, then you can use this feature. Using the Paired windows feature, you create a single to open two apps at a time with single tap.

    Step1:  When you have two apps open, Tap arrow key from the left of the screen.

    Step2: Tap on to see more option

    Step 3: Tap the create button.  New pop us comes up.

    Step 4: Enter the name  you want to give it to the paired window.

    Step 5: Tap Ok. Paired windows is created.
