    This wasn’t working at first for me. My previous phone was an LG, which included the excellent Quickmemo app; in that app, the keys (in this case, the up and down volume simultaneously) only needed to be tapped momentarily to trigger a screenshot.

    It turns out that the screenshot on my new Galaxy J7 *does* work, but you have to press them and *hold* them down for a second or so, until you see the onscreen animation.

    for me too, but from google search you will also see a share icon, which allows you to capture the screen and send it with your program of choice. That worked perfectly for me
