How to edit message on WhatsApp

Whatsapp recent update bought a new feature to edit the sent messages. This feature enables user to make changes to the sent message within 15 minutes after sending it.

Previously, if you make any mistakes while sending message, you need to delete the entire message and create a new message by retyping it. Because of auto correction or in hurry errors happens. So with this new WhatsApp feature you can easily correct it by making the changes. So here is the method to edit message on WhatsApp.

How to edit WhatsApp message in Android or iPhone

First make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp by going into the Play Store or app store based on whether you use iPhone or Android phone.

Once you update the WhatsApp,

• Select the message by pressing and holding on to it. It will highlight the message.
• If you are using Android phone, tap the three vertical lines from the top right corner and select Edit.
• If you are using iPhone, you will get a contextual menu. Select Edit.
• It will redirect you to a text field where you can make changes to the message.
• Once necessary changes are made, tap send.
• It will save the changes and it will show Edited below the messages. This will help sender and receiver know that corrections are made to the original message.
