Samsung Galaxy A5 Cons and Pros- Review

Samsung Galaxy A5 and A5 dual are the premium smartphones which comes with metal finish. With decent performance and great camera performance are the key features of the device. The Samsung Galaxy A5 price in India is Rs. 26,500 for the dual sim variant.

Samsung Galaxy A5 is powered by Quad core 1.2GHz Cortex A53 CPU based on Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. The device runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat along with customised Touchwiz UI.

Dual sim Samsung Galaxy A5

Samsung Galaxy A5 sports 5 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels which results in 294 pixel density. The viewing angles are great on the display. The internal storage of the device is 16GB and supports microSD card upto 64GB.

Samsung Galaxy A5 houses 13MP primary camera and 5MP front facing camera. Both the camera are capable of recording 1080p video. The camera performance great in good lighting conditions. The connectivity features of the device includes 2G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, USB tethering and WiFi hotspot. Sadly, Galaxy A5 doesn’t supports USB OTG.

Samsung Galaxy A5 is has non removable Li-ion 2300 mAh battery which is rated to provide 15 hours of talk time and 68 hours of standby time. In real time, with normal usage, it lasts single day.   • No physical LED notification
  • No user replaceable battery
  • Average speaker volume
  • No USB OTG support
  • No optical image stabilization
  • You cannot use 2 sim with microSD cards: If you insert 2nd sim card on a dual sim variant, you can use microSD card or vice versa.
  • Too pricey: For the premium metal finish, the price of the device is too steep. The same specification device are available for much cheaper price of other brands.

    Dear Sir,
    I am using Samsung Galaxy s3 , and like to buy new Galaxy , I was thinking of A5 ,but when I read your comment about the price that we can find equivalent specs with less price.
    can you please advise which mobile I can choose.
