Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus launched in the month of Jan 2018. Therefore we expected it to ship with the latest version of Android, i.e Android Oreo. Unfortunately, Samsung opted to ship with Android Naugat. Considering the past experience, the device will take a long time to get the latest version of Android.

Lacks 4K video recording support

Priced at 33k, comparing with competition, lack of 4K video recording capability is a demerit of Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus.

No Optical Image stabilization

Touted as a camera-centric phone, it is surprising that Samsung omitted the optical image stabilization option. The lack of OIS will be felt while capturing photos in low light and artificial lighting condition.
