    As mentioned before, Vibe K5 Note has many reasons to buy. Having said that, it has few demerits which might turnout to be a deal breaker for a few of our readers.  So lets begin with some of the demerits of Lenovo Vibe K5 Note.

    Hybrid sim card slot

    It is sad to see, more and more companies are adopting the hybrid sim card slot.  Unlike its predecessor, Vibe K5 Note comes with hybrid sim card slot. Hence you cannot use 2 sim cards and microSD card simultaneously. You need to compromise on your second sim card or the microSD card. Luckily, both variants of Vibe K5 Note comes with 32GB( Around 24GB is available for the user) of internal storage which might be enough for most of the users.

    No Corning Gorilla Glass protection

    Device does not feature Corning Gorilla Glass protection layer. Lenovo is bundling a screen guard on the box to protect the screen from scratches.

    No earphones out of the box

    If you are expecting a earphone with this device, then you will be disappointed. You will not get earphone with this device. If you need one, need to buy separately.

    No slow motion video recording and manual settings

    It is not a big drawback of Vibe K5 Note 5. But you need to be aware that, you will not be getting the option of slow motion video recording and manual settings.

    Lot of preinstalled apps

    The device comes with lot of bloatwares. However, you have the option to remove it which is good move from Lenovo.

    Missing miscellaneous features

    These features are available in some of the smartphones in this price segment. It is something like, it would have been great if this feature is available. So below are the missing features.

    It comes with hybrid sim card slot. You can use either 2 nano sim cards or 1 nano sim card with microSD card. There is no dedicated microSD card slot.

    No. It doesn’t have Corning Gorilla Glass protection layer. However, out of the box, you get screen guard in the box.

    Both variants of Lenovo Vibe K5 Note comes with 1.8GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) based on Cortex A53.

    What are the camera specification of Lenovo Vibe K5 Note?

    Vibe K5 Note sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a dual-LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera comes with features such as PDAF (phase detection autofocus), and packs an ISOCELL sensor.  There is no optical image stabilisation.

    What are the connectivity options? Is VoLTE is supported?

    The connectivity options of the device includes 4G, 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi.  There is no infrared sensor. Out of the box, device doesnot supports VoLTE. However, company said that, support will be added via OTA update.

    How to take screenshot on Lenovo Vibe K5 Note?

    You can capture screenshot on this device in 3 different ways.

    Volume down +Power button method: For taking screenshot using this method, you need to press and hold volume down and power button simultaneously for few seconds.

    Using the screenshot button method:  Just access the quick settings menu. Tap on to screenshot button to capture the screenshot.

    Google now on tap method: Long press on the home button. It will capture the screenshot which you can share or save it in Google drive.  For using this method, you need to enable Google now on tap.

    What are the cons of Lenovo Vibe K5 Note?

    Lenovo ZUK Z1 is a dual sim smartphone and accepts 2 nano sim cards. It measures 155.7 x 77.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs 175 grams. The device is available in white and space grey colours in India.

    ZUK Z1 sports 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD screen with pixel density of 401 ppi. The brightness of the device can notch upto 450 nits. Overall display panel offers good viewing angles and colour reproduction. The white looks bright and the black levels are deep too. CyanogenOS provides a setting called LiveDisplay which allows you to optimise the colour tone of the screen based on the time of day.

    ZUK Z1 is powered by  32-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, clocked at 2.5GHz with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. Though it is a dated SOC, it is capable. In regular usage or gaming, we have not faced any lagging issue. The games like Asphalt 8, Nova 3, Dead trigger etc played smoothly. The CyanogenOS does good job in RAM management. Hence, even multi tasking is not an issue in the device.

    The Lenovo ZUK Z1 comes with 13-megapixel primary camera built on Sony’s IMX 214 sensor with dual tone LED flash and Optical image stabilisation. There is 8MP front facing camera. Both cameras are equipped to record video at upto 1080p resolution. The primary camera can record 60 fps video recording.  ZUK Z1 camera does take great pictures in well lit conditions. The taken images are sharp and detailed. The colour tones are accurate. In low light,  noise creeps in but it is in acceptable range in this budget segment.

    ZUK Z1 houses 4100 mAh battery. Battery  gave around 5 to 5 and hours of screen on time. In our regular usage, battery lasted more than 1 and half days. With supplied charger, it takes close to 2 hours for fully charging. The connectivity options of the device includes 4G on both sims, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

    Lenovo ZUK Z1 Review summary:  ZUK Z1 is a capable smartphone at affordable price. It rates well in performance, camera and battery segment. Even call quality and fingerprint accuracy is decent. However, the downside of the ZUK Z1 includes dated Android OS, lack of IR blaster and expandable storage.

However, it heats up a bit while using the device.

The connectivity features of the device are 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, AGPS, and USB-OTG. This smartphone comes with removable 2750 mAh battery.   • Lenovo Vibe X3 With Snapdragon 808 Soc, 21MP camera launched in India

    Lenovo has launched Vibe X3 smartphone in India. The sale for the device will start from 28th January  2PM via Amazon.in.  The Lenovo Vibe X3 price in India is Rs.19,999. As of now only Matte White option available for open sale.

    Lenovo Vibe X3 sports 5.5 inch IPS display screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Lenovo claims it has unique display that offers 100 percent NTSC colour reproduction,1500:1 contrast ratio and features 178 degree wide viewing angle. Lenovo Vibe X3 has hybrid dual-SIM slots, which means users can use either two SIM cards or a single SIM card alongside a microSD card.

    Lenovo Vibe X3 is powered by hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor(dual core A57 at 1.8GHz + quad-core A53 at 1.4GHz) paired with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and Adreno 418 GPU. The onboard storage is 32GB and supports microSD card upto 128GB.  It packs 3500mAh battery and offers a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel.

    Lenovo Vibe X3  houses  21-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, LED flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), 6P Lens, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording support. There is also a 8-megapixel front facing camera. Vibe X3 offers has Vibe Enhancement features such as the Pro Mode, Smart Assist, Slow Motion, and Nightscape.

    The connectivity features of Lenovo Vibe X3 are 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, USB OTG and Micro USB. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with VIBE UI on top. The smartphone comes with two front-facing stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos tech. It uses Wolfson-powered audio technology for calls, along with Hi-Fi Lenovo Sound with HD audio. Lenovo has bundled some of the gesture controls such as tap-to-wake, flip to sleep etc.

    Lenovo Vibe X3 supports TheatreMax,which enables a larger viewing experience by using an AntVR headset. Customer who need AntVR headset can buy it by paying additional Rs 1,299. One more additional accessory is Skullcandy Ando earphones which is also available for purchase at Rs 1,299. Coming to design aspect, Vibe X3 is made up of high quality thermosetting synthetic resin build at the back.
